We are Language People, a Czech company working in area of innovative requisites for foreign language students and teachers. Our main goal is to help students enjoy and have fun while studying foreign languages. We are helping students and teachers to be more effective. We are here for everyone who wants more than just a book or a dictionary!
What do we do...
Already for a few years we bring to students in the Czech Republic language sets from our MEMOkarty® product line. At the moment we have available the following sets:
- English – basic vocabulary (first aprox. 2000 words),
- English – advanced vocabulary (continuing with another 2000 words),
- English – irregulars (verbs, nouns.....)
- German – basic vocabulary,
- German – irregulars (verbs, nouns, ....).
Each set includes from 350 to 1020 bi-lingual language cards where one side includes Czech translation of foreign word and also up to three examples.
At the moment we are working on language sets for French, Spanish and Russian language, but our work is not only MEMOkarty®! For upcoming school year we are preparing a set of English picture magazines for kids and children because they need more fun when being taught languages. We are also testing possibilities of effective use of internet and mobile phones for studying foreign languages.
During 2005 we have expanded our business into Slovakia and for 2006 – 2007 we plan to continue our expansion abroad. We would like to establish ourselves on the markets in Germany, Austria, Poland and Spain. We know it is ambitious target but we believe that our offer is has not only comparative pricing but also innovative edge which has appeal to students of foreign languages without borders..
We are looking for...
Our growth would not be possible without our partners! And we are always looking for experienced partners who might be language teachers (English, German, Russian, Spainsh) or or owner / directors of foreing language schools in our target countries. We have great experience with cooperation with language schools – from new products testing, to products sales, over to direct use of our products in class work. When developing our products we are thinking primarily about effective use of time and information sharing, these things we also promote on our webpages (articles, analyses, etc.) and through our Newsletter which is at the moment only available in Czech language.
